EBS Introduction

Ethylene Bis Stearamide (EBS) is a high-melting bis-amide additive combining polar amide groups with long hydrocarbon chains. This molecular structure provides balanced interfacial affinity, lubrication and thermal stability, making EBS particularly effective as a dispersing and processing aid in pigment-rich polymer systems.

Beyond pigment dispersion, EBS also provides lubrication, release and anti-sticking performance across a range of thermoplastic processing applications.

Key Features
  • Bis-Amide Structure & Interfacial Affinity

Two polar amide groups combined with long hydrocarbon chains give EBS balanced affinity toward pigments, fillers and polymer matrices while retaining effective processing lubrication.

  • Pigment Wetting & Dispersion

EBS promotes pigment wetting and helps reduce agglomeration during compounding, supporting more uniform pigment distribution and consistent color development.

  • Lubrication & Release

EBS reduces friction during polymer processing and provides lubrication and release, helping improve melt processing and reduce adhesion to equipment surfaces.

  • Thermal & Processing Stability

Its high melting characteristics allow EBS to maintain effective performance across a broad processing-temperature range, including selected higher-temperature thermoplastic applications.
